ABOUT
DIGGING DEEP

Digging Deep’s vision is a future where every young person can connect with nature, develop valuable life skills, and grow in confidence through hands-on outdoor experiences.

Digging Deep’s mission is to inspire and empower young people by providing meaningful opportunities in nature that promote personal growth, community engagement, and environmental responsibility.

Digging Deep tackles a big challenge: helping young people discover their potential, build resilience, and develop a lifelong respect for the natural world, while nurturing the skills they need to thrive in life

                    Who We Work With

Our programmes are thoughtfully designed for young people, providing a safe, inclusive, and encouraging environment where they can truly thrive. Whether you want to learn new skills, make friends, or simply enjoy spending time outdoors, Digging Deep has something for you.

                    Our Approach
At Digging Deep, we do more than just offer outdoor activities — we create a space where young people can explore their potential, build confidence, and develop a deep sense of responsibility for the natural world.

Our approach is built on three core principles:

                    • Holistic Learning
Every activity blends practical skills with emotional and social development, supporting young people in every aspect of their growth.

                    • Community and Collaboration
We foster teamwork and meaningful relationships between peers and mentors, creating a supportive network for all involved.

                    • Sustainability
Respect for nature is at the heart of everything we do, promoting sustainable practices that protect our environment for future generations.

At our beautiful farmlet in Swansea, we offer a wide range of outdoor activities designed to engage, educate, and inspire young people:

                    • Allotment Management
We teach young people how to grow their own food, from seed to harvest. This hands-on experience encourages sustainable living, independence, and a deeper understanding of food systems.

                    • Woodland Management
Our woodland sessions involve conserving and caring for local natural spaces. Participants learn about ecology, habitat preservation, and practical land management skills.

                    • Animal Care
Working with animals such as chickens, goats, and other livestock, young people gain valuable experience in animal welfare, develop responsibility, and learn compassion through direct care.
