WHAT WE DO
Outdoor Learning Experiences
Looking to gain new skills, build confidence, and connect with nature?
Digging Deep CIC offers a range of outdoor learning and education opportunities in Swansea, designed for schools, universities, organisations, and individuals alike. Our hands-on activities help participants discover the power of working with the land, caring for animals, and protecting natural spaces.

Woodland Management
Our woodland sessions involve conserving and caring for local natural spaces. Participants learn about ecology, habitat preservation, and practical land management skills, promoting sustainability and connecting them with nature.

Allotment Management
We educate young people how to harvest their own food. This hands-on experience encourages sustainable living, promotes independence, and fosters a deeper understanding of food systems and healthy living.

Animal Care
Working with animals such as horses sheep, pigs, rabbits, and other livestock, young people gain valuable experience in animal welfare, develop responsibility, and learn compassion through direct care and handling.

Construction
Our hands-on training introduces learners to both traditional and modern tools, emphasising safe usage and practical application. Young people work on real-world projects, such as building outdoor classrooms and bird boxes, to develop skills in construction, problem-solving and team work.

Vehicle Maintenance
Learners gain the fundamentals of vehicle upkeep and basic fault diagnosis. Our training covers full vehicle services, conducting vital safety checks and mastering basic repairs. We promote a proactive approach to road safety, and equip young people with valuable, practical skills for adulthood.

Creativity
These sessions are all about channeling creativity into tangible projects and self-expression.
Learners explore art and design, engage in activities like upcycling furniture and clothes, and develop items to craft and sell at the local monthly market. This fosters innovation, builds resourcefulness, and equips learners with valuable entrepreneurship skills.

Sustainability
Sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We operate off our on-site solar farm with a dedicated goal of achieving a zero-carbon footprint. Participants learn about environmental stewardship, sustainable systems, and how to put resourcefulness into practice through all our programs.

All Purpose Cabin
We are always outdoor first because nature is the classroom. When the weather turns or a session needs a more focused space, our all purpose cabin keeps everything moving, allowing us to continue safely and comfortably through every season while supporting creative work, workshops and reflection without losing connection to the land.
